Morgan took the time to leave himself out capable of driving along. He used a public phone at the park within a clustered area to blend in as he called up R&D to give him a background information intel on colleen yates. ((Which is an investigation roll i believe))
kclace22: [Sounds good]
Anne Yarvis: Morgan took the time to leave himself out capable of driving along.
Anne Yarvis: im sorry i dont understand this sentence. can you explain?
julio martell: my apologies. I have bad english it seems.
Anne Yarvis: [so hes using the contact to find Colleen? Dont forget manip + persuasion as wel]
julio martell: Morgan takes the time to drive out in the morning, keeping within traffic laws, and driving to the park. There, he parks his truck there to step out and take a walk to the public phones where there are people crowded. He hated crowds and attention, but with a big enough crowd he can blend in like he was a normal citizen. He makes his way over to the payphone available, putting a quarter or two in after making sure no one was too close by to hear him, and then waiting on call back from R&D to research Colleen Yates.
julio martell: (may i make it an extended action? you can tell how low my manipulation and persuasion rolls are from my sheet))
julio martell: http://sheetgen.dalines.net/sheet/11207
Anne Yarvis: (no, it has to be a straight roll)
julio martell: ((Then it seems like i rolled 0 successes...))
Anne Yarvis: ok then
Anne Yarvis: R&D pauses before he reminds that he is at work. "I did help you out earlier in the week, Morgan. I can't be running side jobs when my partners around. Whats up with Colleen Yates?"
julio martell: "I was requested by my employer to look up her information believing there can be a link between her and another set of suspects he is trying to research."
Anne Yarvis: [done. go ahead or feel free to call Chris)
julio martell: "He believes miss yates could be a material witness."
Anne Yarvis: "You should be able to run that down. You have the credentials to scare a former employer, for instance. Try that route." He advised.
julio martell: "Thank you for the advice. Good luck with your partner today then." He hangs up afterwords as he adjusted his jacket. Being the non socialist, it would be like having a nuice around his neck if he tried being persuasive without any assistance. From there, he picked the phone up to make another paid call to chris's own phone.
kclace22: "Yeah?" Chris answers the phone
julio martell: Morgan was rather monotone. "Chris, do you have the adress to miss Colleen Yates's home or establishment? Being the non-socialist type I require your assistance in investigating her or asking her for more details upon what you requested me to look into her on. I contacted R&D and they requested i use a scare tactic, but being a mentalist myself I am unable to be the social type nor do i have a compatable ally to aid me in this manipulating endeavor."
kclace22: "She used to work at a bar called the Plumtree. Why don't you talk to the owners and see if they know any information?"
kclace22: He pauses to think. "I'll tell you what. I'll take some time out of my day and we can go down there together."
julio martell: "Thank you for the time to spare in your day to go with me then. I am sure you can be a better socialist than myself."
Anne Yarvis: {what time of day do you want to head down? Its about 12 pm now]
kclace22: Chris would go within the hour. He can't really go out at night now with the curfew
kclace22: "Socialist? I guess I'll take that as a compliment. See you in an hour."
julio martell: "Understood." He hangs up after as he thinks about the mention of the plumtree bar, his mind going into an automatic pilot within its own right as he walked his way to his truck to drive his way to it without so much as a map or a GPS
Anne Yarvis: As the two arrive at the diner that sat on Plum street, they noted that the outside diner had several customers. The two waitresses were hard pressed to seat the customers. Spotting two more customers, a blonde woman approaches. "Would you like a seat at the outside cafe or a booth inside."
julio martell: Morgan didn't feel quite comfortable within the area. It wasn't as public or packed with people as most, but he was quite the silent type not often used to social interaction beyond simple questioning or the ocasional normal conversation. At most, he seemed to just let Chris do most of the talking for him.
kclace22: "Actually I was thinking the bar." Chris answers.
julio martell: ((mind a character sheet kevin?))
Anne Yarvis: "All right. Follow me." The waittress leads you inside to a wooden bar. You are the only two there at this hour. You pass two separate tables making thier way through burgers. The waittress leaves you with the menu and a few minutes tod ecide as she tends her other customers.
kclace22: [No thank you I'm fine]
julio martell: ((> > I mean may i see your character sheet))
kclace22: http://sheetgen.dalines.net/sheet/6375
julio martell: Morgan adjusted himself silently within the seating of the bar stool. His arms crossed together in front of him as he eases there waiting on the bartender while his sullenly lazy eyes were gazing about quietly like a silent raven.
kclace22: http://sheetgen.dalines.net/wiki/WikiDiceRoller?hash=d50a52de (carousing 2 sux)
julio martell: ((he's definitely better))
Anne Yarvis: [Carousing with who? At 1 pm, the only one around is the waittress and the bartender]
kclace22: liquid lunch!
julio martell: ((- - the bartender of course))
Anne Yarvis: ((of course...))
Anne Yarvis: The bartender moves closer, asking what you'd like to drink. As Chris converses with him, he glances about the room. "Not many drinkers today. Business hasn't been great with this curfew."
julio martell: Morgan just left his head down while he looked quietly at the bar counter. "Well it is hard to get good business when the city prevents incomming people to get a chance to rest their tired sorrows on a surface built to shoulder their burdens and actually take the time to listen to their sorrows."
kclace22: Chris looks to the bartender. "I think those people at that table over there could use a few drinks. If they order a drink, tell them its on me today. I'll get a beer myself."
julio martell: "I'll have something light. I'm not a strong drinker."
Anne Yarvis: The bartender gives Morgan a long look. "Uh.. yeah. Nights have been crazy around here. Thinking about hiring a night watch men." The bartender brought over a cold cola that he places in front of Morgan and a beer in front of Chris. "Are we toasting someone tonight?"
julio martell: "Well my toast, if any, would be to the passing of those who left us when the courthouse got burnt down after a slaughter. I may be grim, but I at least respect the dead as much as anyone." Simply raising his glass as he gave himself a gentle sip of the beverage.
Anne Yarvis: "Didn't burn down.. just the emblem got burned." The bartender wiped down the table in front of you. "It does suck about the guards though. Few men are holding onto good jobs."
kclace22: "I'd prefer a toast to the Harper family. Without their good works I don't know where we'd be right now." Chris says trying not to sound too sarcastic.
julio martell: "Amen...if one would even say something like that." running a finger along the rim of his drink.
Anne Yarvis: "True that." The bartender nodded. "At least that young one. Susan or someone, right. That Ben Harper seems like a scuzzball."
kclace22: "You mean Ben Rose? Yeah he's a piece of shit." Chris comments taking a sip on his beer before steering conversation elsewhere. "Hey, you haven't seen Coleen around here by any chance have you?"
Anne Yarvis: "Colleen was fired 3 months ago." The bartender replied. "She was a real flake. You know something about Ben? Its crazy how he siphoned funds from the healthcare."
julio martell: "Not that I'm asking but which health care would have been the victim of such a man?"
Anne Yarvis: 'Which health care?" The man paused. "The citys health care."
kclace22: "Yeah I read the news. Typical politician right?" He looks at Morgan for a minute before looking back to the bartender. "That's a shame, I always liked Coleen." He says evenly. You don't know if she's working somewhere else now by any chance would yah?"
Anne Yarvis: "She was dressed real nice last time I saw her. That time where some guy got kidnapped in the parking lot. Someone has to have paid her nice for those duds."
julio martell: "...A missing persons report unreported...?"
kclace22: "Yeah, that's old news now though." Chris replies quickly to Morgan.
Anne Yarvis: "It was reported. Whoever witnessed it reported it to the police then they came in and gave us a quick 'you didn't kill her for her tips' talk." He grinned
julio martell: ((any part of this talk catching morgans common sense anne?))
Anne Yarvis: [no]
julio martell: "I see..." He places the empty glass down while he looks silently over at chris. "Wonder where the unemployed dear is now."
Anne Yarvis: "Haven't seen her in three months, like I said. But you guys looking for her?"
kclace22: "Alright well. If you see Coleen coming around here, I'd appreciate knowing. Truth of the matter is, me and my friend here were hired by her EX to find out if she's been cheating. We're having a little trouble finding her though."
kclace22: http://sheetgen.dalines.net/wiki/WikiDiceRoller?hash=dd26b82b (subterfuge, 1 sux)
kclace22: "Well, he's not her EX yet." Chris adds.
Anne Yarvis: "I didn't even know she was seeing someone. She seemed to have been kept on a short leash. Always have to text in any chnages to her schedule."
julio martell: "Hmm...and no idea who she could be texting it to?"
kclace22: "Yeah well there's usually a finders fee in these kind of situations. So here's my number." Chris writes his number on a napkin and slides it across the bar.
Anne Yarvis: "Ah, yeah. Some Charlotte chick. Chewed me out when I accidentally picked up the phone. Seemed like a real haughty bitch."
julio martell: ((ding ding ding...we have a clue...))
Anne Yarvis: "A finders fee?" He looked at the napkin. "For what?"
kclace22: "For finding people that we're hired to look for." Chris mutters. He purses his lips when Charlotte was mentioned. "I think I know who you're talking about. Thanks for the drinks bartender." The reporte finishes about half the glass, throws some money down and gets ready to head out.
julio martell: Morgan giving a silent nod to the barkeep as he walked his way on out following after Chris. "So tell me...Would you be willing to come over for a drink of coffee? ... I do wish to request asking information about Riggan and ms Charlotte..." seeming to simply go straight to the point with information Chris left morgan out of.
Anne Yarvis: "I'll give you a call if she comes by. No idea if she will be by. As I said, I haven't seen her in three months." He wipes down the counter and accepts the abandoned drink.
kclace22: [Alright I got to get going here]
kclace22: [Chris tells Morgan, his next assignment is Charlotte Harper]

kclace22: Chris nods. "Yes I'd be happy to do so."
julio martell: Morgan moves along getting into his truck, though looking back at chris in silence while ushering him along in following him back to his Trailer

At Morgan's Trailer...

Chris finally sits down for some coffee and tries to explain the situation as best he can.

"Everything goes back to this family of vampires Morgan. The Harper family. Some of the family are vampires, and other members are human. And on top of that, they've got a fair amount of people that are also blood addicted slaves."

So let's start with Riggan. He falls in the second category. Definitely a blood relative of these vamps.

Then we have Charlotte. She's definitely a vampire.

Now Coleen is one of the slaves. Thanks to our talk with the bar tender, it is likely she is working directly under Charlotte Harper.

So find out where Charlotte hangs out, and chances are we find Coleen.

I know that's a lot to wrap your head around, I'm personally not even sure what a Vampire actually is. I mean dead walking around like Dracula? That's impossible. Its got to be some kind of genetic mutation. Or maybe something extra-terrestrial. But I think that's a conversation for another day.

"...And you call yourself one who hunts vampires." He sighs at the thought, while just dipping his thoughts into the situation as he then leans back on his chair without an expression on his face to explain.

"a Vampire isn't one who can simply give birth to a blood relative. A Vampire would have no working vital organs to give birth to any kin other than through the offspring of a living host, and even then they would either take a person they like and suck them dry into making them a relative by act, or they would just take a person, force feed them their blood, and augment them into a sort of personal body guard or goon, called a ghoul, to do the work for them." He sips his black coffee quietly as he thought about the ink of blackness that it had to it. "...Plus...One thing you should know about vampires...they don't hate garlic and they can be religious..." he looked at him solomnly. "Don't ask how I found out..."

Chris casts a narrow gaze on the man. "Well, it sounds like you know a lot about vampires.Very interesting."

"Let's see what else."

"Liam, right." He mutters to himself.

"Liam is another paranormal investigator. He was captured by the Harpers but we managed to rescue him. That was the missing person the bar tender talked about."

"I think that pretty much sums it up. Welcome to La La Land."
