Cblogger: I'm interested in a Carson Harper that is ALIVE NOW, not a hundred years ago. I don't know, maybe Carson is his middle name. If your friend has any information I'd appreciate knowing.He also takes time to send Gary a quick email.

Far as I - and she- knows- there's no record of a Carson Harper thats alive now. The family does mention an 'Uncle Carson', but she's never seen him. I'll send you a line if I find something. Cypher replies. On another note- have you heard about the bodyguard of David, Laura's brother, was killed last night?

Chris frowns a bit, feeling as perplexed as ever.

He responds:

I'm going to talk to Laura about meeting Uncle Carson in person. Risky I know, but the man has to be vetted.

Chris takes the rest of the night off, refocusing his attention on mundane matters.

In the morning, he decides to give Laura Harper a call at her place of work.

He'll either leave a voicemail, or get a hold of her. Either way he says the following.

"Hi Laura, this is Chris Williams. We met yesterday at the bar. I was wondering if you'd be interested in helping me do a biographical piece on the Harper family history. Maybe help me get an interview with Ben and his Uncle that you talked about. I think with that recent vote the council had, the interest is there. Let me know what you think."

Chris leaves his voice mail message; but no one calls him as the after noon progresses. Perhaps she will call at the end of the day.

Chris feels a sense of frustration sink in but it was an all too common experience.

Fortunately, he had somewhat of a "real life" or some selmblance of it, to take a break from the vigil and focus on other things. Like picking up his daughter from school, and paying bills, and working on his tax refund. There was a lot of "important" stuff to do. Saving the world could wait for a while.
