TFV Downtime (Donahue, Bristol & Mike)
Donahue didn't say much until after the first round in the bar they'd wound up in after their final report to HQ. He nursed the second double of Scotch against his arm as he stared at the wood of the tabletop. He knew damn well he'd hardly be able to walk in the morning after the blow of the dumpster against his spine and legs. He'd be lucky if he could stand unassisted. Son of a bitch, he hated that. It's not like he'd lost the fight with gravity on purpose. Fucking gravity, always having it in for the little guy.
"So," He said, looking up after his contemplation. "Not bad for the first one. Three days of downtime before the meet we need to stake out on Friday. You lot got any plans?"

"Yeah, not bad," Laura agreed, from her spot at the desk. Typically she was at her beloved computer, doing who knew what - probably spying on someone. "It could definitely have been worse." She paused briefly, to eye up the bandage on her arm. Yeah, that could definitely have been a few inches to the left. She was happy to recouperate here, and not in a hospital.
"I should probably hone my shooting skills. You know...when I'm not working..." Translation: when she was not doing something on the computer. She would never not be doing something on the computer.

Re: TFV Downtime (Donahue, Bristol & Mike)
Mike takes a phone call...
"Yes?!" he inquired curtly.
"Thing? What thing?" Mike asked, his brain still not in gear.
"Oh that thing!" Mike exclaimed. "Pretty much just load up on silver and anything that'll cause a crapton of damage or explode is your best bet."
"Oh explosions will work on most things if the bang's big enough." Mike grinned. "Not many things'll put up a fight with limbs blown off either. As for when it's over, you're gonna have a ton of human remains on your hands, so best get out of there before anyone official arrives and that's when I usually go get pissed."
"Yeah, no worries there. They'll be with me." Mike responded.
"My friends? One's a crackshot, one's a tech expert, both very knlwoedgeable when it comes to hunting stuff. They'll be an asset to the mission."
"Will do mate. See you for the hunt." Mike said.

Donahue tapping his finger on the table in front of Mike. His face twisted into a bit of a scowl. He'd been listening to the conversation and he didn't like it so much. Maybe it was the dumpster still talking. Fucking dumpster.
"What've you volunteered me for, Hunter?" He said, his voice a bit sharper than he meant it to be, all the edge of a military sergeant and a man who desperately needed his pain medication. "'Cause I'm a strictly authorized sort of guy, you get?" He knocked the shot back.
