Graves:
163 | 06/11/2010 6:05 pm Graves sipped lukewarm coffee (black of course) as he waited for the microwave to ping. These days the junk food seemed to help the thing wrapped around his spine. Just as well it seemed to amp his metabolism into the hummingbird leagues. He retrieved a microwave burrito from the old appliace. Between the unexpected heat and a sudden convulsion, he almost dropped the thing. Cursing, he sets it down and checks the company email server on the laptop they'd provided. There's a link to a purported zero network filedump, but by the time he clicks, it's already down. He pulsl up the dossiers on his current objective and hazards a bite of the piping hot junk food.
Storyteller/Seryna:
138 | 06/11/2010 6:08 pm As he opens the dossier, he finds a recent update. It appears that there is an agent who was scheduled for surgery at 0900 this morning. The agent was a no show- and that just doesn't cut it with the new 'vampire detector' surgery that he was slotted for. Please find and bring him into the surgery bay.
Graves:
163 | 06/11/2010 6:09 pm Graves sets aside the soggy burrito and probes for more info on the agent.
Management:
0 | 06/11/2010 6:10 pm Graves has rolled an Wits+Inves roll (6 dice), getting 2, 6, 9, 10, 9, 4, 9, with a difficulty of 8 on a 10 sided die. Graves has 4 successes.
Storyteller/Seryna:
138 | 06/11/2010 6:12 pm It appears that this agent, Kelly Kosale, has been a part of the agency for nearly a year. The agent had been assigned with two older agents, both whom were assigned an Anger Patch. The trio had been investigating vampires out of the Boston area for the better part of two months now.
Graves:
163 | 06/11/2010 6:15 pm Scarfing down the remains of his awful meal, Graves puts on some pants and makes notes. He searches hopefully for any reports from the trio which might aid his investigation. He hated reading about the various types of implant the company had at its disposal. When he did, the spine worm seemed all the more lively.
Storyteller/Seryna:
138 | 06/11/2010 6:18 pm His research turns up very little. The trio didn't seem to be very remarkable. They made little news and little results- something dinged that perhaps that could be an angle for this 'new' surgery.

Graves:
163 | 06/11/2010 6:21 pm Typical. Graves grumbles as he puts together the rest of the 'Omniscient Spook' facade, and considers requisitioning a bloodhound as he holsters his .45. He searches for any Boston contacts or handlers on a PDA as he makes his way down to his car.
Storyteller/Seryna:
138 | 06/11/2010 6:23 pm After a few moments, he gets two hits. The first was that there was a woman who freelanced with her bloodhound, specializing in searching for children. The second flash page gave little information, only that bloodhounds could be rented for 225$ an hour.
Graves:
163 | 06/11/2010 6:27 pm 'Screw it.' he thought to himself. Graves was not a dog person per se. He pops an aspirin once he's sitting in his car. Unwilling to declare the trio unfindable, he decides to search for any company contacts in the Boston area.
Storyteller/Seryna:
138 | 06/11/2010 6:35 pm A hit pops up- turns out, someone was running a pharm company in Boston proper. Looked to be a good place to start.
Graves:
163 | 06/11/2010 6:41 pm Graves starts the car and makes his way over, stopping for a big sugary drink along the way.
Graves:
163 | 06/11/2010 6:44 pm He checks for a name on the contact and anything else which could put the encounter in his favour should it become difficult.
Storyteller/Seryna:
138 | 06/11/2010 6:47 pm It turns out that the contact, Genie Creight, had been listed as an agent from 2007 - 2009. She was no longer 'active', but perhaps there was a reason she was at a pharm tech that didn't seem to be tied to Cherion, at least not to Graves' knowledge. She had a few abrupt entries surrounding her in his check- perhaps deleted information?
Graves:
163 | 06/11/2010 6:50 pm Graves finishes up and heads to Creight's place.
Storyteller/Seryna:
138 | 06/11/2010 6:52 pm Creight is listed at an average apartment, if a bit small. She is listed on the second floor, nearest to the stairwell. Walking up, he guesses that its an average one bedroom, some limited living space. No warning bells go off as he approaches the doorway.
Graves:
163 | 06/11/2010 6:54 pm Graves checks the time and pulls up an image of Kosale on his PDA (If able). Straightening his shoulder around his holstered weapon, he knocks on Creight's door.
Storyteller/Seryna:
138 | 06/11/2010 6:57 pm After a moment, a brunette, light skinned woman answers the door. She appears to be in her mid thirties and a few pounds overweight, but she dresses to minimize that in a black warm up outfit. "Hello?" She scrutinizes you closely.
Graves:
163 | 06/11/2010 6:59 pm "Genie Creight?" Graves asks.
Storyteller/Seryna:
138 | 06/11/2010 7:03 pm "Yes." The woman answers, her hand resting on her left hip. "Who are you?"

Graves:
163 | 06/11/2010 7:05 pm Graves peers down his nose at the woman. "I'm Jack Graves. I work for the company. We need to talk. Is now a good time?"
Storyteller/Seryna:
138 | 06/11/2010 7:12 pm "Good as any, for the company." The woman smirks. "Come on in. I won't ask you to wipe your shoes and don't expect much from the place." She leaves the door open and steps back, leading the way into a quaint sitting area. The exterior faces the kitchen with a fridge, modern stove top and a well tidied sink, with breakfast dishes lined up to dry. She sits at the small wooden table set for two and gestures to the other seat. The kitchen / dining area opens up to the living room, where a modest television, a plush blue couch and an exercise bike take u most of the space.
Graves:
163 | 06/11/2010 7:15 pm Graves attempts to conceal a smirk as he sees the exercise bike. "Unusual name," he muses, knowingly. "I just need to ask a few questions. I'll be out of your hair soon enough." He shows her the picture of Kosale. "Do you know this woman?"
Storyteller/Seryna:
138 | 06/11/2010 7:21 pm "Oh, yeah." Genie replies. "And its short for Georgine." She replies, out of sequence. "That dove was new to the company when I left. Sweet kid, but if you ask me, she's a bit too sweet. I half expected her to ask for the demon vanquishing wand." She smirks. "Someone sure read her a story."
Graves:
163 | 06/11/2010 7:27 pm Graves nods, tapping a few notes into the PDA. "I see. So when was the last time you saw Miss Kosale?"
Storyteller/Seryna:
138 | 06/11/2010 7:28 pm "Oh, Lordie." Genie glances at your PDA, openly. "I transferred down to Boston about a year ago. I was packing up my place when I met her- so, about then. But- the dove did contact me."
Graves:
163 | 06/11/2010 7:30 pm "Oh? Concerning what?" Graves asks, pretending to be surprised.
Management:
0 | 06/11/2010 7:31 pm Graves has rolled an Feign Surprise roll (4 dice), getting 4, 8, 4, 2, with a difficulty of 8 on a 10 sided die. Graves has 1 success.
Storyteller/Seryna:
138 | 06/11/2010 7:33 pm "She was upset. A bit scared. Said she needed to get out of town, fast." Genie glanced at the couch. "I told her she could crash here until things settled down. The girl was supposed to stop by this morning, but she never did."
Graves:
163 | 06/11/2010 7:38 pm "I see. Did she say anything else? Mention her fears, location, anything? This is very important, Miss Creight."
Storyteller/Seryna:
138 | 06/11/2010 7:42 pm "Why is that?" Genie frowned. "I can't imagine the company would tell her anything special. She mentioned that she was still in Salem, how long it would take to drive over. She called me at about 7 AM. Much to early to be up on my day off, you ask me."

Graves:
163 | 06/11/2010 7:44 pm "Well, we all have our crosses," Graves adds, in a weak show of sympathy. "Kosale was sent to investigate ex-animates. "Vampires" if you'll pardon the term. If Kosale were compromised, it'd be quite a setback to our operations here in New England."
Storyteller/Seryna:
138 | 06/11/2010 7:47 pm "Oh..." Genie sat forward suddenly. "You know, she was a bit jittery. Kept saying odd things, about packing her cross and stake- that 'she didn't have it in her yet'."
Graves:
163 | 06/11/2010 7:49 pm "Ah." Graves remembered the Anger Patch. "Kosale was assigned under two more seasoned agents. Did she mention them at all?"
Management:
0 | 06/11/2010 7:50 pm Graves has rolled an Is she being straight with me? roll (7 dice), getting 4, 1, 10, 3, 9, 10, 1, 1, 1, with a difficulty of 8 on a 10 sided die. Graves has 3 successes.
Storyteller/Seryna:
138 | 06/11/2010 7:56 pm "Oh, yes. " Genie replied immediately, to Graves' eye being completely honest. "She seemed to be pretty fond of Yvonne. She never really mentioned the man- Ned? Ted? Something snivel-ly sounding like that. I think that she was a bit intimidated by him."
Graves:
163 | 06/11/2010 7:59 pm "Looks like Salem's due a visit." Graves stately blankly, gauging Creight's reaction.
Storyteller/Seryna:
138 | 06/11/2010 8:01 pm "I suppose so." Genie relies, looking a bit concerned. "You don't think something happened to her, do you? She may be a bit soft for the company, but she's a good girl."
Graves:
163 | 06/11/2010 8:06 pm Graves looks at Genie critically. "Unfortunately, personality doesn't count for much in this line of work. I'm going to leave contact information. Should you hear from Kosale, I want to hear about it. In turn I'd like any contact details you have of Kosale's. I intend to catch up with Kosale before the company can brand her a liability, so it'd be in everybody's best interests not to spook the girl. Honestly it sounds like someone dropped the ball giving her a field assignment."
Storyteller/Seryna:
138 | 06/11/2010 8:09 pm "Well, from what she said, she's very good at chatting folks up. I'd believe it too. A girl like that, people wither warm right u to her or they try and snatch her. It occurred to me she may have been more bait than agent, out here." Genie had been looking through her phone and finally stopped. "Here's her cell, the only info I have on her. I haven't been back to Salem since I moved..."
Graves:
163 | 06/11/2010 8:14 pm "Thanks. Anyway, I have a drive ahead of me. Thanks again for co-operating. You hear anything, give me a call"
Storyteller/Seryna:
138 | 06/11/2010 8:20 pm "I will." The woman replied, eying you with large, concerned eyes.

Graves:
163 | 06/11/2010 8:23 pm Graves gets in his car and rechecks his notes. Yvonne-AngerPatch, N/Ted-AngerPatch, Bait, Salem... Then he checks in with the company to see if he could squeeze any more info on Creight. He wasn't sure whether he could trust her.
Storyteller/Seryna:
138 | 06/11/2010 8:33 pm The company pauses before spitting out that Creight herself had not been deemed any surgery, a blip about metabolism and the anesthetic. Yet it did appear that she was feeding the Company information on what unnatural things came into her sphere- and of course, pharm that looked useful.
Graves:
163 | 06/11/2010 8:35 pm Graves shrugs and collects his laptop from the apartment before he makes his way to Salem, booking a motel room to base out of.
Graves:
163 | 06/11/2010 8:36 pm He decides to try Kosale's number.
Storyteller/Seryna:
138 | 06/11/2010 8:38 pm After a moment, the cell phone clicks on. A woman's voice, shaky and shrill, answers. "Hello? Can you help me?"
Graves:
163 | 06/11/2010 8:39 pm Graves decides to be blunt from the start, since Kosale seemed easy to throw off balance. "You were due to arrive at Genie Creight's place today. Why didn't you show?"
Storyteller/Seryna:
138 | 06/11/2010 8:44 pm "I went to the surgery!" The woman explodes, her voice rising and falling with emotion. "But I woke up all alone and... uh. I'm- uh..." The woman trails off before replying in a whisper. "Someone's trying to get me."
Graves:
163 | 06/11/2010 8:47 pm "Who's trying to get you?"
Storyteller/Seryna:
138 | 06/11/2010 8:49 pm "Ted isn't who he's supposed to be." Kosale whispers hoarsely, ignoring your question. Or perhaps answering it, in a disjointed way. "And Yvonne can't see it. How can she not see it, it's right under her nose! I'm the only one who can see him and now he's after me!"
Graves:
163 | 06/11/2010 8:51 pm Grave's crosses out the N/ of 'N/Ted'. "I see. What's Ted's full name?"
Storyteller/Seryna:
138 | 06/11/2010 8:54 pm "Ted Fullerton. Have to go," Kosale whispered, sounding as though she's lowering the phone. "- he's at the farm now."
Graves:
163 | 06/11/2010 8:55 pm "Which farm?"
Storyteller/Seryna:
138 | 06/11/2010 8:57 pm "It's just out of Salem, past the scary ass Saw- like warehouse. I think there are others here. Can't let them hear me." She's whispering now, barely audible.
Graves:
163 | 06/11/2010 8:59 pm "You can probably guess who I am. If you want help, Miss Kosale, then I need you to text a report to this number. I'll be in touch." Graves contacts the company asking for anything on a Ted Fullerton, consecutively checking maps for any farms fitting the given description.
Management:
0 | 06/11/2010 8:59 pm Graves has rolled an Farmfinder general roll (6 dice), getting 9, 7, 3, 9, 6, 8, with a difficulty of 8 on a 10 sided die. Graves has 3 successes.
Storyteller/Seryna:
138 | 06/11/2010 9:05 pm The company quickly complies, detailing that Ted Fullerton had worked for the company since 2000 and was the senior agent for the area. He is noted to have an excellent track record before he was transferred to this area. On the farm front, he managed to find a farm that sold grain for the other farms just outside of salem.
Storyteller/Seryna:
