Lazy LIttle Oscar

Post by christiaen on Sat Oct 17, 2009 12:45 pm

Duchess Amalia was sick and tired of Oscar lazing about the house all evening every evening. He was the laziest, most unmotivated, uninspired Kindred she'd ever laid eyes upon.

"OSCAR!"

She waited for him to slink down the stairs, as he did when he was afraid he might suffer her wrath.

"Really, childe. Have a bit of back bone. No one is going to beat you. But you need to go out and do something with your evening instead of sitting around all night doodling back and forth, playing childish games on your computer. You need to begin to prepare yourself for your life as an Invictus. I want you to go out tonight, visit a few kine gathering places, and figure out how to win someone over with your power of persuasion and strength of conviction. A little seduction wouldn't hurt either. Bring her or him back to this house and feed. Yes?"

"But I don't have a computer." Oscar replys, puzzled. "Go out and 'seduce' a stranger? To feed on? If you want to be alone, then you could've just reserved me a room somewhere."

"Oh Oscar, you are QUITE impossible." Amalia sighs. "The grey square thing on the corner of your desk? That is a computer. Say it with me childe: 'com-pu-tor' No, one more time; 'com-pu-tor'. Good. And as for feeding on a stranger, you will do as you have been told, and from now on, you will do it the first time you are asked, or, there will be dire consequences for you to face. If I need to repeat any of this, you won't be leaving this house for 2 weeks, and I promise you, your first punishment will seem like a walk in the park compared to what I do to you this time around."

The Duchess looks at her favorite childe with a dreadfully disappointed look spreading across her face. "Where is all this impudence coming from, Oscar? You should be treating me with the utmost respect and honor, and instead you talk back to me like you're some gutter trash. Like you're roommating with the horrible Baron's childe... what is her name? Annelsnide? Simply unacceptable. Do as you're told. I'm leaving for a meeting now."

"Yes, your Grace."

Oscar's shoulders sag. The grey rectangular object in his room is actually abstract art, although correcting his Sire seems like a bad move at this point. He drags his feet towards the front of the house and texts his driver. He'd get this over with and do something peaceful while Amalia was away.
